For best care, machine wash gently in cold water, using a mild detergent, and avoid using bleach or fabric softeners.

Line dry out of direct sunlight, refrain from tumble drying to prevent shrinkage or fabric deterioration. If necessary, use a cool iron on the reverse side of the fabric to avoid damaging any prints or embellishments.

Avoid contact with rough surfaces or abrasive materials, as this may cause pilling or snags in the fabric. For long-term care, store the garment in a dry place and avoid prolonged exposure to direct heat or moisture.

About The Design

This design presents a quiet yet powerful tribute to service and sacrifice, centred around the enduring phrase “Their Name Liveth For Evermore.” Rendered in a soft, heritage-inspired palette, the composition draws from early Australian military history, blending archival influence with symbolic detail to create a piece that feels both reflective and timeless.

Across the front, a scene of soldiers captures the movement and spirit of Australia’s early forces, referencing the legacy of mounted infantry units such as the Victorian Mounted Rifles. Their presence evokes a time when mobility, resilience and horsemanship defined the character of Australian soldiers. Above this, drifting birds add atmosphere, hinting at both conflict and remembrance, while maintaining a restrained, respectful tone.

On the back, the narrative shifts into a more symbolic composition, featuring the silhouette of a mounted soldier set within a circular memorial-style layout. The phrase “Their Name Liveth For Evermore” is echoed again, reinforcing its role as a lasting tribute to those who served and did not return.

The Australian and New Zealand flags are incorporated as understated details, acknowledging the shared ANZAC history and the deep bond between the two nations forged through service and sacrifice. Their presence reinforces unity and collective remembrance rather than national distinction alone.

The red poppy appears as a central symbol of remembrance, its vivid colour standing in contrast to the muted base. Long associated with the battlefields of the Western Front, the poppy has become an enduring emblem across Commonwealth nations, representing both loss and the promise of remembrance. Subtle references to the Southern Cross are integrated into the design, grounding the piece in identity and place. As a defining feature of both Australian and New Zealand flags, it represents guidance, continuity and a shared heritage.

The phrase “Lest We Forget” is included as a quiet but powerful reminder of collective memory. Widely used in commemorative services, it serves as a call to honour the past and ensure that the sacrifices made are never diminished or overlooked.

The historical reference to the Victorian Mounted Rifles further anchors the design in Australia’s military heritage. First raised in the mid-1880s under Colonel Tom Price, the regiment was composed of volunteer forces and played a significant role during the Second Boer War. Among its contingents, the 5th Victorian Mounted Rifles became particularly notable, representing the early contributions of Australian troops on the international stage and laying foundations for the identity of the Australian Army.

Altogether, the design balances historical reference with symbolic storytelling, creating a piece that honours early service, shared ANZAC history and the enduring importance of remembrance in a clean, considered and wearable form.
