SUSTAINABILITY
We strive to constantly improve and progress as a socially and environmentally conscious boutique brand since 2014. We continue our journey to develop, design and manufacture eco-conscious apparel in Australia, embracing real sustainable practices and advancing the protection of our country and our planet.
Our Sustainability Milestones
2014
Tribute Collective founded in Melbourne, Australia. Local workforce helps in the design process. Begin to manufacture polos.
2016
Our support partnership with Legacy Australia starts. We produce apparel in bulk quantities, to keep retail cost accessible.
2017
The Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) is a global not-for-profit organisation and the largest cotton sustainability programme in the world. We source blank garments with a considered buying cycle for locally screen-printed cotton items.
100% reduction in
non-compostable
plastic packaging. They are made from plants like corn and non-toxic, compostable resin. They're designed to break down very fast.
2018
We remove all plastic packaging and replace it with recyclable, premium MF acid-free tissue paper, fully home-compostable satchels or recyclable cartons. Tribute Collective becomes 100% plastic-free at the end of this year.
Our labels are thermal-printed on recyclable labels. Order inserts are created from 100% recycled paper manufactured from FSC ® Certified non-bleached fibre.
We remove paper invoices from all orders, replacing them with digital (downloadable) PDF invoices.
2019
We make the switch to independently certified carcinogen-free inks for our sublimated products.
All screen-printed items are now printed with water-based inks, free from toxic chemicals.
New recycled fabric (made from PET bottles) is introduced for polos.
Plastic tape is replaced with eco-friendly, fully recyclable craft paper tape.
Biodegradable stickers for packaging are introduced with recyclable glue.
2021
Parcels are shipped using carbon-neutral methods that are certified by the Department of Environment, under the National Carbon Offset Standard (NCOS).
We partner with i=Change, a donation platform that creates impact with every transaction processed through our website.
2022
We become Australian Made® accredited. 100% of our cotton t-shirts, jumpers and hoodies are now made in Australia.
Supporting national farmers and local workforce. We now use blank cotton t-shirts and hoodies that are made with Australian-grown cotton, decorated right here in Queensland.
